Farmers of Panyal and Badampet villages were registered under AKPS application and were trained about using the application for agriculture and allied sector services. Farmers have downloaded AKPS application and are getting the advisory on smart phone by taking images. Farmers are also getting time to timecrop information and weather alerts. Apart from messages, farmers can also call in the toll free number 1800-425-3141 and get specific information in regards to agriculture and allied sectors.

Annapurna Kissan Prasara Seva

CSFD facilitates an enabling environment for farmers to ICT based agro advisory services called as “Annapurna Kissan Prasara Seva (AKPS) developed by PJTSAU and Digital India. CSFD has trained and enrolled all the farmers in Paniyal and Badampet villages on AKPS. Through AKPS farmers can receive information on agronomy, plant protection, horticulture, animal science, home science, dairy, etc., with location specific information in local language for free.

Geographical Information System

CSFD, Geo mapped the farmers’ fields to provide real time information to farmers on soil, weather conditions and has enabled them to take decisions on the best crops to plant and maintaining soil nutrition levels that can improve crop yields.
