Project– Aharamu and Aryogyamu
Sankalp has kickstarted its project to “Improve access to nutritious food through kitchen gardens in Sangareddy and Mahabubnagar districts of Telangana” – Project– Aharamu and Aryogyamu on 18th November 2022.
This intervention will establish 1020 households’ kitchen gardens and 25 Nutri gardens in Anganwadis during the Rabi season in Sangareddy and Mahboobnagar.
Kitchen gardening kits consisting of 16 varieties of vegetables, 25 kgs of vermicompost, 5 kgs of neem cake, best practices posters, and crop calendar were distributed to project participants by Shri TS Madhan Reddy garu, MLA, Narsapur, Shri Rajarshi Shah, IAS garu, additional collector Sangareddy and Smt. Hemalatha Vijayaraghavan, Director Sankalp & CSFD. District line department officers from agriculture, horticulture, women, and child welfare were present during the program.
It is envisioned that this intervention will lay a pathway for improving health and nutrition outcomes among the people in Sangareddy and Mahboobnagar.
